The Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) Cell in the institute promotes the special interests of students in the reserved category and guides the students to utilise the benefits of the schemes offered by the government. The SC/ST cell in DAV Centenary College, Kotkhai adheres to the guidelines of the UGC and state government with respect to the upliftment of the students and employees belonging to the SC/ST categories and other weaker classes. The cell is committed to maintaining a good environment for the students and takes the utmost interest in facilitating financial support/scholarships and career guidance for the students.

Objectives of the Committee

1. To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.

2. To arrange for special opportunities to enhance career growth.

3. To equip students to reach academic and co-curricular excellence.

4. To motivate students to become good organizers and leaders through bestowing more responsibilities.

5. To circulate State Govt. and UGC's decisions about different scholarship programs.

6. To provide special input in areas where the students experience difficulties.
